Fanny Herrera is a certified Pilates instructor in Mat, Reformer, Trapeze/Tower, Chair, and 3D anatomy. She is also a personal trainer and the owner and founder of Be Motion Studio (@bemotionstudio).
Fanny and Be Motion Studio have been an integral part of SULARA's journey. Since the beginning of our collaboration, we have built a wonderful relationship of business and friendship that has allowed us to grow and support each other. Tell Us About Your Experience: How Did You Get Into Pilates?
I arrived at Pilates on the recommendation of a physiotherapist I consulted due to back pain. At that time, I was leading a fairly sedentary lifestyle and had a job that required me to sit in front of a computer for most of the day.
What Are the Main Benefits You See in People Who Practice Pilates Reformer?
Practicing Pilates improves posture and body alignment, increases flexibility and range of motion, and builds strength and stability in the core and throughout the body. Additionally, through breathing and focusing on our bodies, we can reduce stress and enhance the mind-body connection.
How Do You Balance Your Daily Routine with Managing the Studio?
I organize my days by always making sure to leave space for myself while also managing the studio. I have an excellent team that helps distribute the responsibilities of the studio, allowing us to achieve balance between our personal lives and work.
What Tips Would You Share for Balancing Mind, Body, and Spirit?

What Are Your Rituals for Living a Healthy Life?

I love to stretch my body and meditate for a bit every morning.

I practice Pilates and also enjoy swimming.

I aim for a balanced diet; I prefer cooking at home most of the time, but I don’t restrict myself if I crave something special.

What Inspires You and Why?
My clients inspire me because I see their desires for self-improvement and their eagerness to learn and feel better every day. I love witnessing their journeys and celebrating their progress and achievements, which motivates me to keep learning and becoming a better instructor.
What Is Your Favorite SULARA Piece (and Why)?
I absolutely love the Rafina Pant because it is incredibly comfortable and versatile. I wear it for teaching classes at the studio, for everyday outings, and it’s spectacular for the beach!
